Brief Introduction:

Composite Regional Centre for Skill Development, Rehabilitation & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (CRC), Tripura has been established under the Department of Disability Affairs, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India. This Centre at Narsingarh, Agartala, Tripura became functional in the year 2017. It is under the administrative control of National Institute for the Locomotor Disabilities (Divyangjan), Kolkata. It aims to provide comprehensive rehabilitation services to the persons with disabilities in north eastern India region. The basic aim of setting up this Centre is to create trained manpower for providing rehabilitation services for Divyangjan, OPD services for Speech Therapy, Hearing Impairment, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Visual Impairment, Clinical services for Development Disabilities and Intellectual Disability, Organising out-reach camps for Divyangjan in far-flung areas, Fabrication of Artificial Limbs and Orthosis. 


Team of Experts:     A team including Audiologist, Clinical Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Prosthetic & Orthotic Engineer, Rehabilitation Officer, Special Educationist, Speech & Language Therapist, work at the Centre on principles of trans-disciplinary approach.

Clinical Services: Evaluation, Diagnosis, Therapy, Fabrication and Fitment of aids and appliances, Guidance, Counselling and Rehabilitation etc.

  • Prosthetic & Orthotic Unit

  • Unit for Speech & Hearing Disability

  • Clinical Psychology Unit

  • Special Education Unit:-Unit for Visual Disability and Intellectual Disability

  • Socio Economic Rehabilitation unit

OPD Services: OPD services are open from Monday to Friday from 09:00 AM to 05:30 PM.

 
Aids & Appliances such as Tri-Cycle, Wheelchair, Hearing Aids, Walker, Blind Stick, Artificial Limbs etc. are available under ADIP Scheme.
